Individual Therapy
A private, dedicated space for you — to understand yourself more deeply, heal what has been holding you back, and build the life you want.
What is Individual Therapy?
Individual therapy is a one-on-one therapeutic relationship between a client and a licensed therapist, designed to help the individual explore their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences in a confidential and nonjudgmental setting. It is the most personal form of mental health support — focused entirely on you, your history, your goals, and your unique way of moving through the world.
Unlike group therapy or couples counseling, individual therapy creates space for a depth of exploration that is tailored exclusively to the individual. Sessions are guided by the client’s goals and shaped by the therapist’s clinical expertise, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic therapy, EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, and more. At TrueMe® Counseling, our therapists do not offer a passive, one-size-fits-all experience. Every treatment plan is built around the specific person sitting across from us — their background, their challenges, and what they are working toward.
People come to individual therapy for many different reasons. Some are navigating a specific crisis — a loss, a breakup, a major life transition. Others are working through patterns they have carried for years — anxiety, low self-worth, difficulty in relationships — that they are ready to finally understand and change. And some simply want a trusted, professional space to think more clearly, live more intentionally, and feel more like themselves. Whatever brings you through the door, individual therapy meets you there — and walks forward with you.
