TRUEME® COUNSELING GROUP

Men's Support Group: Strong Men, Safe Kids.

A men’s therapy group for dads, grandfathers, uncles, and other male caregivers.

“When men grow, children benefit.”

THURSDAYS | 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM

ABOUT THIS GROUP

Men are expected to be strong. But strength doesn’t have to mean handling everything alone.

Being a father or male caregiver involves more than providing, protecting, and solving problems. It can bring questions about identity, masculinity, partnership, emotional expression, and the patterns you want—or don’t want—to pass on.

At the same time, many men are navigating changing expectations. Traditional gender roles are in flux, relationships require new forms of partnership, and men are being asked to show up emotionally in ways they may never have seen modeled.

That can be difficult to figure out alone.

This men’s therapy group offers a direct, judgment-free, clinically guided space to talk honestly about fatherhood, relationships, anger, stress, grief, shame, communication, and personal growth.

This is not a class that tells you how to raise your children. It is a place to better understand yourself, connect with other men, and become more intentional about how you show up for the people who depend on you.

You don't have to figure this out alone. Let's talk.

WHAT YOU WILL GET FROM THIS MEN'S SUPPORT GROUP

What this support group provides

Men carry different responsibilities depending on their families, relationships, and stages of life. This group creates space to explore those experiences without judgment, competition, or pressure to pretend everything is fine.

Real conversations

Talk openly about the parts of fatherhood, caregiving, relationships, and masculinity that men are often expected to keep to themselves.

Support from men who understand

Connect with other fathers and male caregivers facing many of the same pressures, questions, frustrations, and hopes.

Anger and stress management

Develop healthier ways to understand and regulate anger, overwhelm, frustration, and the accumulated stress of responsibility.

Stronger relationships

Explore communication, marriage, intimacy, conflict, emotional disconnection, and how to repair relationships after difficult moments.

Identity and masculinity

Consider what being a strong man means in a culture where traditional gender expectations are shifting—and define masculinity on your own terms.

Growth without judgment

You do not need to have the right words or share more than you are ready to. The group offers room to listen, reflect, speak honestly, and grow at your own pace.

FAQ - MEN'S SUPPORT GROUP

Frequently Asked Questions About Men's Support Group: Strong Men, Safe Kids.

Honest answers from our therapists — before you take the first step.

Is this a parenting class?

No. This group will not teach you a particular parenting method or tell you how to raise your children. It is a men’s therapy group focused on the person behind the caregiving role—your stress, relationships, emotional patterns, identity, communication, and growth.

Parenting may be discussed because it is an important part of many members’ lives, but the deeper focus is how you show up as a man, partner, father, and caregiver.

Do I have to be a father to join?

No. This group welcomes dads, grandfathers, stepdads, uncles, mentors, and other men who play meaningful caregiving roles in children’s lives.

The group is designed to feel direct and grounded—not performative or emotionally pressuring.

What kinds of issues can I bring to the group?

Members may discuss fatherhood, relationships, marriage, anger, stress, communication, masculinity, grief, shame, emotional regulation, family patterns, or the challenges of raising and caring for children.

You do not need to arrive with a specific problem. You may simply want a place to reflect, connect, and grow.

Can the group help with anger or relationship conflict?

Yes. Anger, resentment, communication difficulties, emotional withdrawal, and relationship strain are common topics. The group can help you recognize patterns, regulate difficult emotions, communicate more clearly, and approach repair more intentionally.

If you need more focused individual or couples therapy, the facilitator may recommend additional support alongside the group.

How do I join — and what does the enrollment process look like?

Enrollment begins with a confidential conversation to answer your questions and determine whether the group is a good fit. Participation is limited to 10 members.
